Plumb BGP-1

10/31/2012. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The BGP-1 was an original design small wood and fabric construction biplane of Barry G. Plumb of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, UK. This design was an entry in the PFA Sywell light aircraft design competition and registered G-BGPI it was first flown during 1986, after work on the aircraft had started in 1976.

It was initially powered by a 50 hp VW1834 cc engine with the cylinders exposed. During 1998 the aircraft was re-engined with an 80 hp Jabiru 2200 and it also received a fully enclosed cowling. As of this day it is still registered to its builder. Registered as G-FUNN on October 16, 1995, a second aircraft is since under construction."
