10/31/2009. Designed by Philippe Prevot of Toulouse, France, the Skyranger ultralight was first flown in 1990. Prevot formed Best Off to control the sales and production of the kitplane, the first 198 were produced between 1992 and 1997 by Synairgie in France. Produced since 1998 by Aeros in the Ukraine, to date over 1,200 aircraft have been delivered. Skyranger won the FAI World Championships for ultralight aircraft numerous times.
