09/30/2008. The Spanish Republicans ordered forty-two 28-90Bs, derived from the 28-70 Flash long-range racer. As US law prohibited the sale of arms to countries at war, twenty were to be supplied as "mail planes" via Air France and twenty-two as "trainers" via a Greek aviation school. However, export permission was denied, the "mail planes" ended up in China, the "trainers" with the Fuerza Aerea Mexicana. Reportedly none has been preserved.
