Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The Darling was an original design homebuilt aircraft of John Harvey of Westlake Village, California and the type was marketed for amateur construction by Harvey's company Erospace Technologies, Inc. The design had a largely metal construction, with some glass fiber parts and was designed to accept engines in the 40-100 hp range. Powered by a 40 hp Rotax 447 engine the sole prototype first flew on September 28, 1996. Further development was halted."
