Mason DM-1 Skyblazer

05/27/2017. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "David W. Mason of Houston, Texas, USA, designed and built his original DM-1 Skyblazer which was first flown in January 1963, after construction had started in September 1960. The one-of-a-kind single-seat sport biplane had an 125 hp Lycoming O-290-G piston engine and was completely rebuilt after having sustained damage in a forced landin in 1969. Plans in 1996 called for another complete restoration to flying status after a long period of grounding and the aircraft was still in the FAA register in 2017 in the name of the designer/builder."
