The five YPT-25s built, s/n 42-8703 to 42-8707, c/n 1775 to 1779, were almost entirely of plastic-bonded wood as a result of a request to convert the all-metal PT-22 trainer to non-strategic materials. The prevailing aluminum shortage did not materialize and production was not undertaken. |
