05/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Developed by the team led by Shigenobu Mori in 1933, this was the last IJNAS biplane carrier fighter. Powered by a 730 hp Nakajima Hikari I nine-cylinder radial, the prototype flew for the first time on the autumn of 1934. As the Navy Type 95 Carrier Fighter it was accepted by the IJNAS in January 1936, and production continued until 1940, a total of 221 had been built."
