General Aircraft G.A.L. 42 Cygnet Mk.II

07/07/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was designed and built by C.W. Aircraft Ltd., formed in 1936 by C.R. Chronander and J.I. Waddington. The prototype C.W. Cygnet flew for the first time in 1937, registered as G-AEMA. During the spring of 1938 G.A.L. took over the project, developing the aircraft into the Cygnet Mk.II, first fitting twin fins (as pictured) and later a tricycle undergarriage.

Ten production aircraft, c/n 109 to 118, were built, c/n 115 and 116 may not have flown."
