New Coast Guard Rescue Plane visits N.Y.
New York City - The Hall long-range flying boat, one of the six which are now being purchased for distance patrol and rescue work, winging past the Statue of Liberty as the liner Queen Mary steams out to sea. The planes have a cruising range of 2,000 mls at 100 mph, and a top speed of 140 mph. Each ship has accomodations for a crew of 5 and space for 20 to 25 passengers.
