NEW YORK CITY, New York, USA. The Hall long-range flying boat, one
of the six which are now being purchased for distance patrol and
rescue work, winging past the Statue of Liberty as the liner Queen
Mary steams out to sea. The planes have a cruising range of 2,000
mls (3,319 km) at 100 mph (161 kmh), and a top speed of 140 mph
(225 kmh). Each ship has accomodations for a crew of 5 and space
for 20 to 25 passengers.
