07/31/2008. The last airworthy Li-2 in Russia, this aircraft was lost on June 26, 2004. Then registered RA-1300K, one of its engines lost power directly after takeoff from Moskva-Myachkovo Airport and it struck a building 1.3 mls (2.1 km) from the runway. The aircraft broke up and the pilot and the navigator were killed, three other occupants survived. |
