Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The last Invader built in the El Segundo plant, this aircraft was the attack version prototype and was fitted with an unglazed nose housing a forward-firing 2.95 in (75 mm) cannon. The crew consisted of pilot and gun-loader/navigator seated side-by-side in the forward cockpit and a gunner in the rear cockpit. The aircraft was written off after a crash 9 mls (14.5 km) east of Eglin AFB, Florida, on October 19, 1943."
