04/21/2025. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was assigned to the RCAF City of Sarnia No. 414 Fighter Reconnaissance Squadron, based at RAF Dunsfold, Surrey, England. It was allotted the squadron code RU-O, although only the 'O' was painted on the fuselage, and it was nicknamed "Pistol Packin Momma".
On June 18, 1944, AM251 was shot down by Luftwaffe Unteroffizier (Sergeant) Lissack of 7./JG 26 over the Le Bény-Bocage area, some 31 mls (50 km) southwest of Caen, Normandy. The Fl./Lt. Roger Arthur Bromley was killed.
