Bearhawk Bearhawk Patrol

02/28/2014. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg and Johan Visschedijk: "Robert Barrows derived the Bearhawk Patrol from the Bearhawk. However, the Bearhawk Patrol incorporates some new design elements like the airfoil shaped tail ribs and a special Riblett wing airfoil. Powered by a (de-rated) 170 hp Lycoming O-360 engine and registered N289R (c/n 195602), the prototype was first flown mid-2003, the aircraft received its CofA on June 13, 2003. The type can accept engines in the 115-210 hp range and is suited for limited aerobatics.

Plans and kits are marketed by Bearhawk Aircraft of Austin, Texas, USA, while the kits are manufactured by Bearhawk's production company AviPro Aircraft Ltd. at Atlixco, Mexico. The pictured aircraft was built by one of the three persons behind Bearhawk Aircraft, Mark Goldberg of Lakeway, Texas, and although the aircraft was registered on August 31, 2011, it received its CofA on February 9, 2012 and was subsequently flown.

NOTE: The resembling Bearhawk LSA is a different design."
