Albatros L-38 D.X

02/28/2010. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Developed in parallel with the L-38 D.IX and possessing a similar slab-sided fuselage, the D.X was powered by a 195 hp Benz Bz IIIbo eight-cylinder liquid-cooled V-engine, and participated in the second D-type Contest held at Adlershof in June 1918. Armament comprised the usual pair of 0.312 in (7.92 mm) LMG 08/15 machine guns. Development progressed no further than prototype trials."
