10/31/2018. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Delivered to the RAF in 1938, these three aircraft belonged to 218 Squadron, it was based at Aubérive-sur-Suippes, near Reims, France, from September 2, 1939, till May 1940.

K9325 "HA-D" was lost during an attack on enemy troops near Sankt Vith, Belgium, on the second day of the German western offensive, May 11, 1940.

Fairey Battle Mk.I

The following day K9353 "HA-J" was shot down north of Bouillon, Belgium. The third aircraft, K9324 "HA-B", was transferred to the RAAF on September 19, 1940. Four years later, September 14, 1944, the aircraft was struck off charge and became Instructional Airframe No. 13."
