04/30/2007. The Gannet was an indigenous Australian light transport designed by Lawrence J. Wackett at the Tugan Aircraft Ltd of Mascot, New South Wales. The first Gannet flew in 1935 and six Gannets were acquired by the RAAF. Aircraft delivered after Tugan Aircraft was absorbed by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation in 1936 were known as Wackett Gannets. |
