04/02/2005. Remarks by Nico Braas: "Designed in 1923 as a mailplane, Westland's Dreadnaught was a very advanced type with its unspanned monoplane layout. Fate, however, decided otherwise and the Dreadnaught unfortunately crashed shortly after its first take off on May 9, 1924."
