Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Seen in overall white United Nations colors, this C-160D belonged to LTG-62 (Lufttransport Geschwader, air transport squadron) based at Wunstorf, Germany. Under command of Lieutenant Colonel Meitzner, the German AF operated on behalf of the United Nations three Transall aircraft from Mombasa, Kenya, as a part of Operation Provide Relief (UNOSOM II) in Somalia during 1992-1993."
