Bell 47A YH-13 Sioux

05/31/2011. Ordered in 1945 by the USAAF as a Model 47A XR-13 under the serial 46-235, this aircraft was delivered as a YR-13 in 1947. After the renaming of the USAAF to USAF it was redesignated YH-13. After being struck off charge it came on the civil registry as N4017A, was exported to Canada in June 1961, and registered as CF-NNA. Eventually it returned to the USA and was registered N9066J, this registration was cancelled on February 13, 2003.

During its career the originally two-seat aircraft was converted to a three-seat Model 47D, powered by a 200 hp version of the original 175 hp Franklin O-335 engine it became a Model 47G, while it finally became a Model 47G-2 when fitted with a 200 hp Lycoming VO-435 engine.
