Johan Visschedijk: "The Model 407, announced in September, 1959, was a four-seat development of the Cessna T-37 jet trainer, intended as a low-cost jet-powered replacement for the military training and utility aircraft being phased out of service in the United States at that time. It utilized standard components of the T-37 with the exception of the center fuselage, which had been redesigned as a pressurized cabin able to accommodate four persons in comfort, with their baggage. Pictured is a mockup, construction of a prototype was started, which was registered as N34267 (c/n 627), but never completed."
