11/30/2013. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft is designated Orta Saint-Hubert G1 in the official Belgian register, however, the designations St. Hubert G.1 and Orta St. Hubert SC.1 are stated in other sources as well.

This three-seater was designed by Jef Guldentops for the José Orta Constructions & Réperations Aéronautiques at the Aérodrome de Saint-Hubert. Reportedly the type was fitted with a 60 to 85 hp type of engine, and at least fifteen have been registered:

OO-ABI
OO-AKH, OO-AKL, OO-AKO, OO-AKX, OO-AKY
OO-ALK, OO-ALL
OO-AMB, OO-AMC, OO-AMS, OO-AMT, OO-AMU, OO-AMV
OO-BSC.

The pictured aircraft was powered by a 60 hp Walter engine, and entered in the initial register of Belgium as O-BABI to the Aéroclub des Ardennes at Saint-Hubert on September 12, 1928, CofA number 155.

On March 1, 1929 it was registered in the definite Belgium register as OO-ABI to José Orta, also at Saint-Hubert. Subsequently the aircraft was reregistered to the Club Aéronautique at Brussels on July 26, 1929; it was cancelled on February 4, 1931, its fate is unknown."
