01/22/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This 240 was purchased by China's Central Air Transport Corp. (CATC) on February 28, 1949 and registered XT-602. On December 19, 1949, the aircraft was purchased by Civil Air Transport (CAT), a CIA front company, and registered N8301C. In June 1954, it was sold to Imperial Oil Ltd of Calgary, Alberta and registered CF-IOK. In 1961 it was sold to a USA company and registered N400M and converted to a Model 300. During the next 20-years, this aircraft was owned by numerous companies. It was reregistered N737Z in 1965, N502CW in 1974 and N503C in 1975. The last known operator purchased the aircraft in December 1981."
