08/31/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was registered G-ANPA by the de Havilland Aircraft Co. and delivered to the Canadian Comstock Co. on June 28, 1954 registered CF-HLI. It was sold to W.W. Clements in the US on October 16, 1962 and reregistered N1412Z and was immediately leased to Inlet Airlines on October 16, 1962 until sold to Tide Air on June 9, 1964.

Sold to Apache Airlines on November 10, 1964, this Heron was leased to Aspen Airways of Denver, Colorado, in 1967 and sold to W.V. Pangbourne & Co. and converted to a Riley Heron in 1968. The aircraft was then leased back to Apache Airlines in 1968 until it was sold to Swift Aire on December 7, 1970. Swift Aire purchased the aircraft in 1974 and reregistered it N411SA.

Subsequent owners were French Lessi McAdams; Airplane Partners; Air Miami who reregistered it N81962; Shawnee Airlines who leased it on April 13, 1978; North American Airlines who purchased it in 1982; Mid-West Jet Sales who bought it on January 17, 1984 and finally Lani-Bird Inc who purchased it on April 11, 1984.

The aircraft was withdrawn from use, placed in storage at Scottsdale, Arizona; until scrapped."

According to the Clyde North Aeronautical Preservation Group, this aircraft was origianally G-ANPA. After CF-HLI, the aircraft became N1312Z , N1420Z and then N411SA.
