03/31/2011. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was delivered to the USAAF (renamed USAF on September 18, 1947) on June 11, 1945 as a C-54D-10-DC Skymaster, s/n 42-72641. It was operated by the USAF until sold to an unknown US company in 1959 and registered N6513D.

In 1959, it was sold to a Canadian company and registered CF-LTI and then sold to Pacific Western Airlines of Vancouver, British Columbia as CF-PWJ in July 1959. It returned to the US in 1972 when sold to Cryderman Air Service of Pontiac, Michigan and registered N74182. On December 12, 1974, it was sold to Air Training & Taxi Center and four days later, it was sold to AMAZ (Agence de Messageries Aériennes du Zaïre) of Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) registered 9Q-COO. It was subsequently destroyed by fire at Lubumbashi Airport, Zaire."
