02/28/2011. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This Douglas Model DC-3A-467 was ordered by the USAAF as a C-47B-50-DK s/n 45-1105 and delivered on October 16, 1945. On January 1, 1948, the superchargers were removed and the aircraft was redesignated C-47D.

It was sold ca. 1953 to On Mark Engineering Co. of Burbank, California and registered N2025A. It was later sold to Monarch Airlines of Denver, Colorado and resold on August 1, 1955 to West Coast Airlines, Inc. of Seattle, Washington. West Coast operated it until 1969 when it was sold to Aerodyne Corp. of Renton on April 9, 1969.

On April 19, 1984, it was sold to Salair Inc. of Seattle and was used to fly cargo until December 1, 1986 when it was sold to Bennington Aviation of Bennington, Vermont. The aircraft was again sold in December 1994 to Air Taxi International of Miami, Florida and stored until sold to Legion Express of Opa-Locka Executive Airport, Miami on March 3, 1995.

The aircraft left the US when sold to the Kenyan airline Skyways Kenya of Nairobi on February 2, 1997, registered 5Y-BMB. In April 2001, it was placed in storage at Lokichoggio Airport, Kenya and was still at the airport in July 2009. Its fate is unknown."
