Text on back: "USAF C-130 Hercules. First American airplane basically designed for economical turbo-prop power and for the air movement of cargo. Now in quantity production for the Tactical Air Commmand at the Georgia Division of Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. Standing 38 ft (11.58 m) high at the tail, 95 ft (28.96 m) long, 132 ft (40.23 m) wing span. Cargo floor is at truck-bed level, 41 in (1.04 m) off runway. A Hercules is shown in flight with the Marietta, Georgia, USA plant in the background."

The postcard was mailed to me July 6, 1956 by a Lee Rogers, Public Information Mgr., and said: "Thank you for your interest in our airplane pictures. We are sorry we do not have sets of colored pictures to send you at this time. We hope the picture on the front of this card will serve your immediate purpose."
