North American NA-226 T-28C Trojan

01/31/2021. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The first of 299 T-28C Trojans, this aircraft was assigned to the Naval Air Test Center at NAS Patuxent River in Virginia, USA, coded as FT-187. Subsequently it was assigned to VT-27 at NAS Corpus Christi, Texas, coded D-709. On August 3, 1976, as this aircraft had reached the end of its military service, it aircraft was transferred to the MASDC on August 3, 1976, coded 5T0059.

The aircraft was sold and left the MASDC on January 19, 1978, four weeks later, February 16, it was registered as N51841 to County Civil Defense at Laurel, Mississippi. The California Coast University at Santa Ana, California, became the new owner on January 4, 1988. Apparently the university made some modifications, as the aircraft was initially reregistered NX28TN. August 26, 1988, the aircraft received its CofA, and the 'X' was dropped from registration.

Gary J. Trichter became to new owner on February 10, 1998, it was reregistered N28GT on October 22, 2003. May 5, 2007, Skyway Inc. of Wilmington, Delaware, became the next owner (and still is as of this day), although the aircraft was based at William P. Hobby Airport, Houston, Texas.
