Boeing 345 B-29 Superfortress

06/30/2009. This aircraft was produced by Martin at Omaha, Nebraska as a B-29-55-MO. It was lost on March 31, 1952 (assigned to the 344th Bombardment Squadron, 98th Bombardment Wing), when it crashed near Daimon, Japan, shortly after take off from Yokota AB, ca. 20 mls (32 km) west of Tokyo. Only two of the eleven crew survived.
