Ryan SCW-145

02/28/2019. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "One of fourteen produced, this SCW-145 was manufactured in 1938, originally powered by an 145 hp Warner Super-Scarab seven-cylinder air-cooled radial engine. This engine was later replaced by a 205 hp Continental E185 six-cylinder horizontally-opposed air-cooled engine.

By June 20, 1989, this aircraft was registered to James K. Wickersham of Danville, California, while on September 1, 1995, the FAA register stated "sale reported", apparently to a member of the French embassy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It was stricken from the FAA register on June 24, 2011, as exported to France, new owner was Pierre Duval of Viroflay near Paris.

In early 2016 the aircraft was spotted disassembled and stripped of paint in a hangar of the preservation and restoration association AéroRétro at Aérodrome de St. Rambert d'Albon, in the south-east of France."

1998-2001. Remarks by Bill Ewertz: "This is the Ryan SCW that was then owned by Rich. McDonald, my college roommate. I now have the sister ship to it. Rich sold it and it is now waiting for restoration in Carson City, Nevada, USA."
