02/28/2016. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "These three aircraft were built for the USN as TBM-3Es in 1945, the pictured '070' was delivered to the USN with the BuNo 91131. In 1953 it was transferred to the Royal Navy and was designated Avenger Mk.4 and allotted the British serial XB379. Upon arrival in the UK in October 1953 it was fully modified by Scottish Aviation to British requirements and redesignated Avenger AS.Mk.5. On February 6, 1958, it was transferred to the Royal Dutch Navy, serialed as 22-30, later reserialed 070, three years later, February 8, 1961, it was struck off charge and returned to the USA where it was scrapped.

The pictured '061' and '062' were delivered to the USN under the BuNo 91476 and 91488 respectively. On October 1, 1953 both were transferred to the Royal Dutch Navy, serialed as P-121 and P-122, later reserialed 061 and 062. Both were struck off charge on May 2, 1961 and subsequently scrapped in the USA."
