Pilatus PC-8D Twin Porter

10/31/2012. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Over the years, Pilatus proposed several developments of the successful PC-6 Porter, and Pilatus did build the prototype of the PC-8D Twin Porter which first flew on November 28, 1987. It was a ten-seat development of the basic airframe with a swept tail and two 290 hp Lycoming IO-540 piston engines mounted on the wing. This was demonstrated to various potential users, but was eventually abandoned."
