11/30/2005. Remarks by John Voss: "This DC-6 is the first one ever received by Delta Airlines. On the extreme left there can be seen a stage set up for the acceptance ceremonies by Delta at the Douglas Plant site."

02/15/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was the 144th
DC-6/DC-7 built and was delivered to Delta Air Lines of Atlanta, Georgia, on September 9, 1948. Delta operated it with the fleet number "601" until it was sold to an aircraft broker on October 16, 1968 who placed it in storage at Tucson, Arizona. It remained in storage until scrapped in January 1974."
