01/31/2008. The Viscount was delivered to Austrian Airlines, registered as OE-LAG, on February 29, 1960. On October 31, 1964, it was sold to the Ministry of Technology in the UK, operated by the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Bedford for radar research. It was witdrawn from use in the early nineties and the nose-section went to the Brooklands Museum in January 1996. |
