12/31/2007. Originally built as a Bö 105C it was registered in December
1972, the following year it was rebuilt as the Bö 106 V1 prototype.
Fitted with a wider cabin seating seven persons, the aircraft Bö 106
was first flown on September 25, 1973. It was not taken into series
production.
In this view the Bö
106 is seen accompanied by the Bö 105 D-HDBY c/n S-74. Built also in
1973, D-HDBY was sold to Japan in 1975, registered as JA9523,
while in 1993 it was registered in the USA as N174MC. It is still at
the FAA Register as of this day.
