Hawker P.1067 Hunter F.Mk.3

08/31/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Hunter was designed to Specification F.3/48 issued in March 1948. The pictured aircraft was the first prototype flown on July 20, 1951, by Squadron Leader Neville Duke. It was the same aircraft, rebuilt as an F.Mk.3 and flown by the same pilot, that established a new world's absolute speed record at 727.6 mph (1,170.959 kmh) on September 7, 1953."
