10/31/2006. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Built in 1954 this aircraft was refurbished and upgraded by Gehling, and restored in the colours of US Navy Training Squadron VT-5. The 1,450 hp Wright R-1820 nine-cylinder engine made the T-28B one of the most powerful ab initio trainers of the fifties. It had a gross weight of 8584 lb (3,894 kg) and a max speed of 345 mph (555 kmh) at 18,000 ft (5486 m)."
