Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Advance Aircraft Co. of Troy, Ohio, trading under the trade name Waco, delivered this Model 9 to the US Army Air Corps at McCook Field, Dayton, Ohio in April 1927. Under the serial 26-206 and assigned the Project Number P-447 it was static-tested to destruction, establishing a very satisfying safety-factor. This favorable outcome contributed to the issue of the Type Certificate Number 11 in July 1927."
