Aeritalia G-222

10/31/2018. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft was operated by the 46th Air Brigade. In a grey livery and white tail marked UN it flew United Nations missions in Congo in 2000. Subsequently the Italian AF bought the upgraded C-27A and this aircraft was sold back to Aeritalia. Sponsored by the US Department of Defense, redesignated C-27A and serialed 54078, the aircraft was one of fifteen transferred to the Afghanistan AF from late 2009 on. However, by 2012 the fleet had been grounded, by 2013 the program was cancelled and subsequently the aircraft were scrapped."
