07/31/2019. Remarks by Jacques Trempe: "Pictured by the plane are Solange and Marguerite, daughters of Antoinette Villeneuve and Joseph Giroux."

07/31/2019. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Built in 1931 this autogyro was registered to the Pitcairn Aircraft Inc. at Pitcairn Field, Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA, on July 24, 1931. The registration was cancelled on May 12, 1932, as 'Exported to Canada'. It was registered to Leavens Brothers Air Services of Belleville, Ontario, as CF-ASQ two days later, May 14. For 21 years the autogyro was used over Quebec and Ontario, for training pilots, mail runs, hauling banners, spraying trees and crops, and last but not least, joy-riding. The sole PAA-1 registered in Canada was withdrawn from use in 1953, the registration being cancelled on April 28, 1954."
