03/31/2008. Remarks by Manny Soberal: "This aircraft was produced for the USAF as an F-101B-85-MC, s/n 57-273. It was transferred to the CAF in 1970, designated CF-105B and assigned to 425 All-Weather Fighter Squadron, at CFB Bagotville, Province of Quebec.

425 (AW) FS participated in the 1972 USAF Worldwide Air-to-Air Weapons Meet "William Tell" held at Tyndall AFB, near Panama City, Florida. That meet was the year of the first "Top Gun" award and Captain Lowell Butters and Captain Douglas Danko of the 425 (AW) FS were the winning team flying an
CF-101B.

Crewed by pilot Roger Ayotte and navigator Pete Pellow during the 1972 "William Tell", 101009 is seen firing a Douglas AIR-2A Genie rocket (AIR = Air Interceptor Rocket)."
