Auster J/5B Autocar

03/31/2011. Remarks by Ron Smith: "The J/5B was a four-seat version of the J/5 Adventurer fitted with an enlarged rear cabin and fuselage, larger wings and bigger fin/rudder area.

Produced in 1950, the aircraft was registered as PH-NEH in the Netherlands to Jhr.ing. C.C. Hora Siccama of Wassenaar on April 3, 1951. December 8, 1952, the aircraft was registered to the Technische Hogeschool (now University) of Delft, where it served for twenty years.

The registration stricken from the Dutch registry on August 8, 1972, whereafter it was used as a ground instructional tool at a technical school at Haarlem for twelve years. Another seven years later it was again registered as PH-NEH on February 1, 1991, and is still registered as such as of this day."
