Waco 10

11/15/2014. Remarks by Andy Heins: "Too bad the identity of this particular aircraft is unknown. Approximately 1235 examples of this three-seat open cockpit biplane type were built between 1927 and 1930, till late 1929 as the Waco 10 by the Advance Aircraft Company, and after the company was renamed Waco Aircraft Company as the Waco GXE. Generally the type was powered by a 90 hp Curtiss OX-5 eight-cylinder liquid-cooled V-engine, and the first Waco type built with a split-axle landing gear and adjustable horizontal stabilizer for trim. The Waco 10/GXE price in 1927 was $2,460, 1928 $2,385, then in 1929 went up to $3,145."
