04/19/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "Officially, this was a Mitsubishi F1M2, Navy Type 0 Observation Seaplane. In the second half of 1942, the Air Technical Intelligence Unit (ATIU), Allied Air Forces, at Eagle Farm Airfield, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, developed colorful names for Japanese aircraft and the F1M2 was given the code name 'Pete'."
