While the 8F Silvaire is powered by a 90 hp Continental C90-8F four-cylinder horizontally-opposed air-cooled engine, the Sky Pal is powered by the similar 65 hp Continental C65 engine, and has only one 8 gal (30 l) fuel tank in the right wing. N1953B was built in Garland, near Dallas, in 1948."
