Fairchild 71

07/17/2005. Remarks by Lars Opland: "The Fairchild 71 was probably photographed prior to 1940, as Marine Airways merged out of existance then, and Bob Reeve bought NC119H in the winter of 1939-40 after losing NC9745 in a hangar fire. I've never seen any mention of Bob Reeve flying his Fairchilds on floats. The Edo J-5300s were probably sold to meet operating expenses (or he bought the 71 without them), as 1939-40 were lean years for Reeve."

07/17/2005. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Marine Airways merged in 1939 with Alaska Air Transport to form Alaska Coastal Airlines which was acquired by Alaska Airlines in 1968."
