02/28/2008. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "After making its first flight in August 1996 registered N237YV, this aircraft was delivered to Mesa Airlines of Phoenix, Arizona, on September 12, 1996. Mesa Airlines is a subsidiary of the Mesa Air Group and this aircraft was immediately leased to another subsidiary, Air Midwest of Wichita, Kansas.

In January 2007, Mesa Airlines agreed to lease ten 1900D aircraft to Big Sky Airlines of Billings, Montana; this was one of the ten. Big Sky operates flights in the western US and also operates as a Delta Airlines Connection Carrier from Logan International Airport, Boston, Massachusetts, to cities throughout the Northeastern US and eastern Canada, using eight 1900Ds."
