This is the second prototype first flown in December 1971 registered as
VH-SUR, leased to the RAAA, s/n A18-002, in 1973, crashing on October 3, 1973. Since 1976 on display at Oakey labeled as A18-300.

Production versions were the N22 and N24 and the type became well known by the Australian television series The Flying Doctors.
