08/15/2008. Delivered to American Airlines on October 31, 1957, the freighter served less than three years with the airline, as it was sold to World Airways on June 11, 1960.

In October 1965 it was sold to Fred Olsen of Norway, where it was registered as LN-FOM. It was leased to the Joint Church Aid organization in August 1969, and destroyed in a bombing raid after landing at Uli Airstrip, Biafra, on November 2, 1969.
