12/31/2023. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The J2F-6 was the final version of the Duck-series, and Grumman subcontracted the production to Columbia Aircraft Corporation at Valley Stream, New York, USA. The pictured aircraft was built in 1942 under the USN BuNo. 33602. On June 13, 1952, it came on the US civil registry as N1939M, owner was a W.D. Brady of Portland, Oregon. Only three weeks later, July 7, the aircraft was sold to Roberto Batista of the airline TACA de Venezuela (Transportes AĆ©reos CA). The registration was cancelled on July 24, 1952.

Shortly after the photos were taken, the J2F-6 was shipped to Venezuela. Its ultimate fate is unknown."
