Fairchild F-27F

01/31/2009. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Finished as an F-27A in the closing days of 1958, the aircraft was registered as N1924 to Ideal Cement Co. on January 13, 1959, and subsequently named 'Keva III'. In 1968 it was reregistered to Ideal Basic Instruments, while by then it had been converted to an F-27F freighter. The registration was cancelled on March 18, 1974, and sold to Lambair of The Pas, Manitoba, Canada, registered as C-GJON.

On February 2, 1978 the F-27F returned to the USA, being registered as N54506 to Pacific Alaska Airlines (PAA), the same year it was reregistered N222DG, also to PAA and was named 'R.C. Bailey'. On February 9, 1990, the aircraft was registered to Empire Airlines, leased to Waglisa Air in 1995 and since seen unmarked. The registration was cancelled on September 26, 2005, and the aircraft was subsequently stored."
